Liard plans major asset restructuring or acquisition of lighting companies
Liard announced that the company's board of directors passed the "Proposal on the Company's Planning of Major Asset Restructuring Matters" and will hire intermediaries to conduct preliminary audits and evaluations of relevant assets. After the specific plan is determined, the board of directors will be convened and announced. The company's stock will be suspended from the 10th.
Unnamed industry analysts said that the major asset restructuring project planned by Liard is likely to be Liad's intention to acquire lighting companies. Horizontal mergers and acquisitions of lighting companies is a key step for Liard to expand its production capacity and market influence.
Some analysts pointed out that the domestic LED display market grew by 10% year-on-year in 2012, reaching a scale of 24.1 billion yuan. It is expected to maintain a steady growth of 10-15% in the next three years, but the survival of the fittest will continue.
