The Director of the Bureau of Standards, Chen Jieshan, said that the fourth Jiang Chenhui, the two sides will sign a standard cooperation agreement for certification and certification, which means signing a cooperation agreement, confirming the agreement, and discussing the industrial projects on both sides. Chen Jieshan explained that the cross-strait standard testing and verification cooperation project will include five major directions: common standard formulation, testing and verification cooperation, certification technology cooperation, measurement technology cooperation, and market supervision and management.
As for which industries should be included in the common standards for cross-strait cooperation, Chen Jieshan said that the Bureau of Standards will continue to negotiate with the industry. In the near future, it will discuss with many public associations such as the Electric Power Association and the Resource Planning Association, hoping to sort out the priority industrial projects.
Chen Jieshan pointed out that the Standards Bureau held the standard technology forum for flat panel display industry last week, and invited experts from MG, Chimei Electronics, TECO, Zhimao Electronics, National Certification Foundation and Industrial Engineering Research Center to discuss the experts. Chen Jieshan said that in terms of the FPD industry, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan have already had the advantages of R&D and manufacturing capabilities. Since the global financial tsunami, the huge potential and influence displayed by the mainland cannot be ignored. For the mainland, Taiwan's liquid crystal display LCD process technology is leading the mainland panel manufacturer for at least two generations, which is a pilot process technology. Therefore, the mainland is eager to use the open flat-panel TV market as a bargaining chip to introduce Taiwan's process technology and become the mainland flat-panel process standard.
