Harbin launched the "Ten Cities and Ten Thousand Miles" LED lighting application project

The national “Ten Cities and Ten Thousand” semiconductor lighting application project has been blooming everywhere in 21 pilot cities such as Harbin and Shanghai. The reporter learned from the Harbin Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau that in order to regulate the market, the "Technical Requirements for LED Road and Tunnel Lighting Engineering" (Trial) was drafted and compiled by Harbin Standardization Research Institute, Harbin Electronic Computing Research Institute and Harbin Street Light Management Office. Implementation began on the 28th. It is reported that this is the first LED engineering technical standard in the country.

In May 2009, 21 large and medium-sized cities nationwide such as Harbin, Chengdu, Mianyang, Shanghai, Tianjin, and Shenzhen were approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology as the pilot city for the national “Ten Cities and Ten Thousands” semiconductor lighting application project.

According to the plan, Harbin’s “Ten Cities and Ten Thousand” LED urban lighting planning plan will invest 200-300 million yuan in three years, promote the application of various types of LED lighting fixtures 260,000 baht, implement ice and snow landscape, along the Songhua River. LED lighting application engineering such as natural landscape, architectural art landscape, road lighting and subway engineering.

According to Dong Achun, Director of Harbin Street Light Management Office, the LED lighting industry in Harbin started from 2004. At present, LED street lights, landscape lamps and car lights that have withstood minus 40 degrees Celsius have been developed for the cold environment. The application of LED lighting project is expected to save 30 million kWh per year, which can reduce the pollution of traditional light source to nearly one million cubic meters of water source in Songhua River in Harbin. As the photoelectric efficiency of LEDs increases year by year, the cost decreases by 40% per year, and it is expected to enter the lives of ordinary people within three years.
