LG Display is set to unveil its Luflex OLED lighting products at the 2018 Frankfurt International Lighting and Architecture Exhibition, known as Light+Building 2018. This major event, held from March 18 to 23, 2018 in Germany, will showcase the latest advancements in OLED lighting technology. As a global leader in display innovation, LG Display is proud to present its groundbreaking Luflex series, which combines aesthetic appeal with cutting-edge functionality.
Luflex, a fusion of the Latin word "Lux" (light) and the English word "Flex" (flexibility), represents LG's commitment to pushing the boundaries of design and performance. The OLED panels are not only ultra-thin and lightweight but also offer a soft, natural light that reduces eye strain. One of the most impressive features is the panel’s ability to be rolled up with a minimum radius of just 30 mm, making it incredibly versatile for various applications.
In addition to Luflex, LG Display is also introducing Crystal Sound OLED (CSO) technology, which integrates audio capabilities into the lighting panel itself. This innovative solution allows the panel to act as both a light source and a speaker, delivering high-quality sound along with modern, elegant illumination. The combination of visual and auditory experiences makes these products ideal for smart homes, commercial spaces, and more.
At the exhibition, LG Display will also highlight the winning entries from a recent design competition, showcasing creative ideas from designers and architects around the world. Over 650 participants submitted their concepts, and seven renowned designers were recognized for their outstanding work.
To support the growing demand for Luflex, LG Display has significantly expanded its production capacity. In December 2017, the company launched a new 5th generation OLED lighting panel production line at its Gumi plant in South Korea. This state-of-the-art facility can produce 150 million units per month, a 30-fold increase compared to the previous 2nd generation line. This expansion ensures that Luflex will be more accessible to consumers globally.
Park Sun, CEO of LG Display’s OLED Lighting division, expressed confidence in the future of Luflex: “With Luflex, we aim to create lighting that not only captures attention but also provides comfort and inspiration. We are excited about the potential of this technology to illuminate spaces around the world.â€
Visitors are encouraged to stop by the LG Display booth during the exhibition to experience the future of lighting firsthand.
Linear Aluminum IP67 480V Input LED Driver
Fahold family of 40-240W drivers provides leading edge technology for high efficiency, application flexibility and reliability in rugged environments. With their tunable outputs, this family is customizable for specific fixture and module applications. Universal's Everline LED Drivers can be configured to set their current output down to 50% of their maximum rated design level. This function is called tuning, or also, programmable LED drivers. Tuning provides the ability to set a tunable driver`s output current at levels lower than its full output rating. After a driver is tuned, it can still be dimmed to lower output currents with standard 0-10V controls. Tuning the driver based on the LED module used not only makes each fixture more efficient, it also increases the life of the LED module. Tuning assignments are stored in driver memory and are not lost when power is removed. Most factory produced drivers are tuned to maximum output unless otherwise noted on the label.
