There are numerous atomization standards both domestically and internationally, with different companies also developing their own corporate standards based on their quality management systems. These varying standards lead to differences in testing methods, interior materials, and parameter requirements. The reflection coefficient measurement method and the gloss method used in the above standard are essentially the same. As mentioned in a previous article, the early standard used DIDP as a reference reagent for the reflection method (gloss method), while the gravimetric method used DOP, as specified in PV 3015. In more recent standards, both methods have been unified, using DIDP as the reference reagent.

The test conditions required for these methods are largely similar, except for SAE J1756, which does not provide specific results for DIDP. The other four standards, however, clearly define the basis for test results using either DIDP or DOP.

In addition to the technical details, it's important to understand how these standards impact real-world applications, especially in industries like automotive and electronics where precision is critical. Proper atomization testing ensures product quality, safety, and compliance with international regulations.
