**Goddess Town House**

I've been using wired headsets for a long time, and every time I take them off, it's usually something like this...

Back then, I had the idea of buying a Bluetooth headset. That’s when the QC30 came into my view, but I didn’t start until I saw the goddess’ ad. Sony Dafa was so good that I just jumped on the train.

I didn’t want to buy just one pair, but I ended up seeing a lot from Aunt Zhang’s wi1000x.

This time, Sony’s box is still very textured, and you can feel the apple-like relief.

It supports many formats, but Apple only has AAC, which is kind of helpless. Days are wasted trying to get Cook to support more.

The film on the outside of the wi1000x has a QR code. Scanning it logs you into the Sony WeChat official account. After registration, you can extend the one-year warranty. Don’t forget — the serial number is written on the warranty card inside the box.

Inside the black box, you can see that Sony focused on the play button, making it extremely simple.

I bought the black version, thinking that black might not be as noticeable. But the texture is still very nice.

Sony added a leather-like material to the ear cups this time, and it feels really comfortable.

However, the control buttons are all made of hard plastic. Honestly, when you first wear the earbuds, it feels a bit uncomfortable, and you need some time to adapt.

The accessories include these things, and what’s interesting is this air socket. The label doesn’t look like a PS, but it’s easy to confuse with the old two-hole plug. Also, there's a soft bag worth 5 dollars. It’s not included in the package, but some people worry it might scratch the headphones because the zipper directly touches the earbuds. If you care, it’s better to buy a better case.
How does it feel to use? Let me break it down:
1. **Noise cancellation**: To be honest, the noise cancellation on the wi1000x is quite satisfactory and doesn't require comparison. In my daily office setting, it filters out most noise, but it doesn't reach the "noise reduction realm" advertised. When the noise cancellation is on, background noise becomes very faint, but sounds like an air conditioner motor still come through slightly. For sudden noises like snapping fingers or closing doors, you can hear them, but much less than before. As for human voices, the wi1000x lowers the pitch and volume, making it sound distant, but if someone is talking while you're listening to music, you won't hear it as clearly.
2. **Sound quality**: I haven’t heard the QC30, and I regret visiting the store twice when the headphones were dead. But the wi1000x is decent. I only have the EXK to compare, so the contrast isn't fair. I can say that with Apple’s AAC, wireless sound quality reaches the level of thousands of yuan headphones. Plus, the wi1000x offers a wired mode, where the sound field opens up, similar to adding an amplifier, and the sound quality improves significantly.

Taking a photo with the EXK here.
3. **Functionality**: Why didn’t I mention this earlier? Today I tried it for a day and found a few things to say. One is the app’s adaptive feature. After installing Sony’s headphone software, it identifies your activity and adjusts noise cancellation accordingly. It seems like they’re afraid of overdoing it.

According to the image, there are four modes: stay, walk, run, and vehicle. The transportation mode has the strongest noise reduction by default, and ambient sound is set to 0. In the stay mode, the default is not 0. It probably makes sense to avoid missing important sounds in the office. The principle is based on dynamic data collected by your phone. From my several hours of use, I can only say it's half good. Walking and running modes can detect movement and switch automatically. The running mode rarely activates noise reduction, which is great. But after exercise, when you stand still or go back to the office, it’s hard to switch back to the stay mode. This is a bit frustrating, so I increased the noise reduction strength in the walking mode.
There's also a feature called "focus on voice." What does that mean? Once activated, the background noise is reduced, and if someone speaks, their voice is emphasized. It sounds like a recording, and you’ll definitely hear it even if you're listening to music. That’s why it's called "attention to speech."
4. **Operation**: The operation of the earbuds is very intuitive. On the right, there’s a noise cancellation switch, and on the left, there’s power/volume/playback. Each button has a different shape, making it easy to identify and remember. The only issue is skipping tracks. According to the manual, there’s a specific way to do it, and it took some training. At first, I often pressed too much or too little, but now it's much better.

To sum up... I wrote so much, are there any readers who actually read through the whole thing?

Thanks to the kindness of the sister paper.
Finally, some of the previous questions were self-questions and summaries.
1. Can you sleep? Do you have a neck?
Yes, I fell asleep, and I didn’t feel my neck, but the front part of the plastic area felt a bit uncomfortable. However, I could still hear the alarm clock.
2. Will light noise shut it down?
I didn’t even turn on Bluetooth. I kept noise reduction on for 10 minutes without it shutting down. Sony updated the headphones today, and now it has a new feature: turning off noise reduction when Bluetooth isn’t playing. If you need it, remember to turn this option off.
3. How long does the battery last?
I haven’t measured it yet, since it wasn’t fully charged. But I tested it for 30 minutes and it lasted 3 hours with noise reduction always on.
4. Can you charge it with a regular charger?
The manual says you can only use a computer, but I used a charger for 30 minutes and didn’t feel any heat.

In conclusion, the wi1000x isn’t as good as it appears online, but it meets everyday needs. I was surprised by the noise cancellation at Taikoo Hui, but there’s still a gap in real-life use. I don’t experience the completely silent effect people imagine, but it isolates noise well enough to make environments feel less noisy. The adaptive features are good, but they need more optimization.
These are my thoughts for the day. In the last sentence, I’d like to thank the bald-headed cloakman — his head may be bald, but he's become stronger. That's it.
