Panasonic recently unveiled two new television models: the FZ800 and FZ950. Both feature OLED display technology, known for its exceptional image quality. OLED panels are self-lit, offering near-infinite contrast ratios and deep, true blacks. These TVs also support HDR10+, a more advanced version of HDR that adapts content in real-time for better brightness and color accuracy.
As flagship models, Panasonic claims that the FZ800 and FZ950 deliver a cinematic experience right at home. The TVs come equipped with a new HCX graphics processing chip, which enhances picture quality through advanced panel tuning. They also use a color lookup table (CLUT) technology that updates up to 10 color coordinates per second, ensuring smooth and accurate color reproduction—something typically seen only in high-end demo videos.
The FZ800 and FZ950 are expected to be available in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes, with a release likely this spring. More details about pricing and specifications will be revealed at CES 2018.
