The reshuffle of the world's robots: China began to overtake the corner

On October 22nd, a cold and windy Saturday morning. Less than 9 o'clock, the entrance of the World Robotics Conference and the entrance of Beijing Yizhuang International Center has been rushed from all directions, and people who want to see the latest wave of robots in the world are surrounded by water.

A man who did not make an appointment text message, anxiously asked for help, begging volunteers to give him a ticket.

"Today is full, wait for tomorrow."

"No, the child has always said that he wants to see if there is any white, it will take 2 days!"

The little boy in the man's hand, holding the big white doll in the movie "Super Marine", has deep desire in his big eyes.

Dabai, a robot created by human beings, brings the warmest companionship to the little masters in the virtual world, and melts our hearts. People are eager to have a robot like Dabai, which can be used in all kinds of martial arts, and can be accompanied by human beings to comfort and warm. However, in real life, how to realize the attributes of "human" in robots is still a difficult problem to study.

The transformation of robots: the transformation of machines to "people"

What exactly is the robot? The earliest teacher, Qu Daokui of Jiang Xinsong, the father of Chinese robots, was interviewed by People's Daily during the World Robotics Congress. He believes that the robot has to be divided into two parts, the machine and the person.

One side is a scientist and the other is an entrepreneur. Qu Dao Kui has been in the robot industry for more than 30 years. At the beginning, the teaching materials of the robot course were brought back by his teacher from abroad. Up to now, Chinese robotics companies have been able to buy the German Tautrolov Vocational Training Institute, which is used to train high-end intelligent manufacturing professionals. He and Xinsong's growth trajectory are highly coincident with the development track of China's robotics industry.

Qu Daokui believes that in the first 50 years, China's robots pay more attention to machines, and robots are more used as robot arms. Now we are moving in the direction of "people". How to find out more about the learning and perception of machines is the key technology now.

"Now robots have changed the traditional mechanical terminals that they would not hear, say, or look at. In the current sense, robot intelligence is the direction, and perception, cognition, and thinking are the development trends of future robots." Dao Kui said.

Industry 4.0, national defense security, consumer services and talent education are the four business segments of Xinsong. Qu Daokui believes that service robots are an important goal for the future development of robots. In the past, industrial robots were part of the replacement, and service robots were closer to people.

"The share of the consumer service robot market is also larger than the industry 4.0 sector," Qu Daokui said.

The development of robots: an important opportunity for China

The development of robots is an opportunity for the world and an important opportunity for China.

In 2013, China became the world's largest robot market. After that, domestic related companies have sprung up. This is due to the development of China's economy in recent years and the support of the country's major development strategy.

In the spring of this year, the "Robot Industry Development Plan (2016-2020)" jointly issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Finance has opened the east wind for the entire industry, giving clear goals and roadmap for the development of Chinese robots in the next five years. .

As the head of China's leading robot enterprises, Qu Daokui said that both in terms of quantity and quality, the progress of the Chinese robot industry can also be seen through large-scale exhibitions in recent years. At the same time, China's leading enterprises have reached the level of PK with foreign companies.

In Qu Daokui's view, traditional robot technology has come to an end in the past three decades, and now it is in the stage of the development of new robots. Although in terms of traditional robots, foreign countries have great advantages compared with China, in the development of new intelligent robots, the starting point at home and abroad is the same, and the advantages of foreign companies are not obvious in the new round of competition.

"The world's robots are in the midst of a transitional upgrade. This turning point also provides a major opportunity for Chinese companies to carry out 'curve overtaking'." Qu Daokui believes that "China has a first-class market with rich technology and talent. Coupled with a huge capital system, in the next five to ten years, China will certainly make a difference in the field of robotics and achieve the first breakthrough."

More critically, robots have become the most powerful support for China to become a smart manufacturing power. In terms of the big environment, China is currently in the process of R&D innovation and industrial platform, inspection and testing, and certification quality standards.

"This time with foreign competition, not only competition between enterprises, competition between countries, is not a simple innovation-driven competition, but lies in the competition of the entire platform layout." Qu Daokui said.

Robotic competition: from disorder to order

The capital market’s response to robots is extremely hot. Taking Xinsong as an example, the company's dynamic P/E ratio is 102 times, and the market value has been ranked among the top three in the global robotics industry.

Disorderly competition, unevenness, and development are extremely uneven. Qu Daokui said that there are nearly 3,000 robot-related enterprises in the country, and 80-90% of them are not developing well.

In fact, robots are typical “three high industries”: high technology density, high talent density, and high capital density. “Enterprises are generally in the low-end market, and there are shortcomings in terms of core components, scale and industrial layout.” Qu Daokui said that in China, anything is a slogan, anything is hot, and anything is expensive. This phenomenon has also caused Chinese companies to pay a higher price when they merge overseas.

In May of this year, Midea Group acquired the German industrial robot company KUKA at a price of 115 euros per share, which was called an expensive payment by the industry. Qu Daokui talked about this matter without any emotion, using financial means to accelerate the development of his own business, is a good way and tool. But he also expressed concern that these technologies that can be bought through money are core technologies, and the issue of integration between Chinese companies and overseas companies is equally crucial.

“It is not terrible for companies to rush into the robot market. Through full competition and accumulation of experience, disorderly competition will eventually become orderly under the regulation of the market.” Qu Daokui believes that the most feared place is the party’s place. The leader is also hot-headed and swarming. "Only having a system awareness and effective adjustment means for environmental changes, local location and market environment, is suitable for advancing the landing of the robot industry, in order to reduce the low-level redundant construction of the robot industry park and avoid vicious circle."

Promotion of robots: from idea to layout

Due to the particularity of robotics and intelligent manufacturing, its promotion and popularization are different from traditional ones. Xinsong, which specializes in R&D, also has its own investment platform. Xinsong established its holding subsidiary, Huize Boyuan, to lay out the domestic market and acquire overseas resources.

At the same time as the role of capital expands, how to use capital for effective resource integration is also a problem that Chinese companies need to consider. When others buy a business, Qu Daokui thinks of another way to use capital to buy education and finance to cultivate talent. He said, "The development of intelligent manufacturing requires high-end technical talents. This time, the acquisition of the Tautolov Vocational Training Institute in Germany has enriched the way of cultivating high-end talents in China. On the one hand, it is conducive to the introduction of German intelligent manufacturing of high-end technical talents. ""

Hao Zhangang, executive chairman of Huize Boyuan, revealed in an interview with People's Daily that the purpose of this platform is clear: to seize the market physically and technically, to become a promoter of helping cities develop intelligent manufacturing, and to promote the rapid development of the robot industry by means of financial means.

How to achieve the above goals, Hao Zhangang has a draft, the robot town 5S shop or a model of intelligent intelligence.

Hao Zhangang said, "We must build a robot terminal sales network throughout the country, set up a joint research institute for robots and a 5S center, and deepen research, development, and sales into the corners of each market."

In his vision, Xinsong and Huize Boyuan will also set up a cultural company. “Every robot that is produced in the future has a story and should have its own name.”

In the exhibition hall of the Robot World Congress, crowds surged. People are attracted, or admired, or disappointed. Perhaps in the near future, the white in the movie will also "fly" into the homes of ordinary people, so that everyone's robot dreams can be customized.
