Telehealth/Telemedicine AggregaTIon Manager (AM) is an indispensable device for networked healthcare systems that enables personal medical devices to record data to remote EHRs (electronic medical records) for home and clinical review. A dedicated AM system solution with video output includes the following main components:

Application Processor: The OMAP3530 processor is based on the ARM Cortex A8 architecture and provides audio, camera and video peripheral interfaces. It integrates a high-definition video accelerator for HS video streaming. Device vendors that do not require HD video streaming should use the lower cost AM3517, which supports HD UIs over DVI but does not integrate HD video accelerators. Both media processors come with the latest Linux version and are code compatible.

Connectivity: The ConTInua Health Alliance is committed to building an interoperable personal healthcare solution system. To be certified with ConTInua AggregaTIon Manager, devices must integrate at least one Personal Area Network Device (PAN) interface, such as USB and Bluetooth, and a wide area network (WAN) or local area network (LAN) interface such as Ethernet, WiFi, and ZigBee.

Power Management: The TPS65950 analog companion chip is designed for use with OMAP35x devices. It includes a buck converter, a low dropout regulator (LDO), a charger module, an entire audio module with digital filters, an input amplifier, and an output Class D amplifier.
