Recently, the rapid detection of UAV towers by UHV towers of the Jiaxing Electric Power Bureau in Zhejiang Province was successful on the site of the ±800 kV Fufeng Line.
The device consists of an aircraft, a ground-operated base station, and a receiver. It is used in routine inspections and troubleshooting of UHV transmission lines. The quadrocopter was equipped with image acquisition, infrared thermal imager and wireless transmission equipment to inspect the transmission line equipment in a diameter of 2 km.
