Qualcomm Announces 9 Chinese Companies such as Tang Tech and Fantasy Technology

Qualcomm has officially announced on November 15 that it will invest in nine Chinese companies through its venture capital arm, Qualcomm Venture Capital. The investments are part of the $150 million China Strategic Investment Fund, which the company launched back in 2014. This move highlights Qualcomm’s continued commitment to supporting innovation and technological advancement in China. The selected companies span a range of cutting-edge industries, including artificial intelligence, smart mobility, wireless connectivity, and more. Among them is Shang Tang Technology, an AI-focused startup; Mobike, a leading provider of shared bicycles; Chuangtong Electronics, a key player in wireless connection solutions; and Nai-ai Artificial Intelligence, offering terminal-side AI solutions. Other notable names include Zero Elements, an operator of unmanned convenience stores, and Metco Technologies, which delivers innovative educational solutions. Mirage Technology combines AI with VR/AR for content creation, while Elekki provides immersive English learning environments. Kemei, another investment, focuses on agricultural big data and intelligent services. According to Quinn Li, Vice President of Qualcomm and Global Managing Director of Qualcomm Venture Capital, the goal of this investment is to support these startups by providing financial backing, technical expertise, and business development resources. "We aim to help these companies turn their ideas into real-world innovations," Li said. This strategic move underscores Qualcomm’s focus on fostering growth in emerging technologies like AI and the Internet of Things. In addition to the newly invested companies, some existing partners have also received further support as part of this initiative. While the list includes several well-known names, there are still many exciting startups in the pipeline that could shape the future of tech in China. As the virtual reality and augmented reality landscape continues to evolve, Qualcomm remains at the forefront, driving advancements that will shape how we interact with digital experiences.
