Research and Analysis of Electromagnetic Compatibility of RFID Transmitting Equipment

RFID, which stands for Radio Frequency Identification, is an automatic identification technology that has gained significant attention since the 1990s. This innovative system uses radio frequency signals to transmit data wirelessly between a tag and a reader, enabling contactless communication. Unlike traditional methods like barcodes, RFID offers greater efficiency, speed, and accuracy in tracking and managing items. In China, RFID technology is still in its early development stages, facing challenges such as limited technical capabilities and incomplete standardization. However, with growing demand across various industries, the potential for RFID is vast. It has the power to revolutionize the automatic identification sector, much like how the internet transformed information sharing. Despite its advantages, the widespread use of RFID also brings challenges, particularly regarding frequency interference. As new wireless technologies continue to evolve, it becomes crucial to ensure compatibility with existing radio services. This paper explores how RFID can coexist harmoniously with current systems while maximizing its benefits. RFID systems typically consist of two main components: tags and readers. Tags store unique electronic data and are often affixed to objects for identification purposes. Readers communicate with these tags through spatial coupling, using either magnetic fields or electromagnetic waves. The exchange of information occurs based on predefined protocols, allowing for seamless interaction without physical contact. Currently, RFID is widely applied in areas such as vehicle tracking, automated manufacturing, livestock management, and access control. Its versatility makes it a valuable tool in both commercial and industrial settings. As the technology continues to mature, further research and development will be essential to overcome existing limitations and unlock its full potential.
