He believes that integrating these technologies will unlock new growth opportunities. According to his report, the digital creative industry in China has created eight key opportunities. These include the interactive development between animation games and the leisure industry, the digital transformation of film and television production, the digital services in smart tourism, distinctive urban architecture design, the rise of China’s innovative design, personalized customization, the rapid growth of VR and AR, and the expansion of online creativity. Pan Yunhe pointed out that there is great potential in the interactive development of animation, games, and leisure formats. Successful animation and game titles can generate a wide range of derivative products, such as toys, books, audio-visual materials, costumes, and even theme parks. These cross-border interactions have significantly boosted the creative industry. He also referenced box office data from 2012 to 2016, highlighting how the explosive growth of the movie industry is closely tied to digitalization and the internet. Over time, the role of digital technology in film and television production has become more critical, with rapid innovations in digital video equipment and a growing trend toward networking. In the context of smart tourism, Pan Yunhe noted that digital services have become essential. Online travel platforms, electronic tour guides, big data search, and VR/AR technologies are transforming the way people experience travel. Additionally, he stressed that personalization and customization are now reaching a broader audience. Digital technologies enable consumers to tailor products, such as clothing and shoes, without needing physical stores.
