Summary of basic methods for electrical angle phase alignment

Waveform observation method

Suitable for incremental encoders, sine and cosine codes, and resolvers with commutation signals.

1) Observe the phase alignment relationship between the zero-crossing point of the UV line back-EMF waveform and the U-phase signal rising edge/Z signal of the sensor, or the Sin signal zero-crossing point, or the Sin envelope signal zero-crossing point by the oscilloscope. The above signal edges or zero crossings are aligned to a phase angle of -30 degrees;

2) The star is connected with three equivalent resistors with appropriate resistance range, and the UVW power line of the permanent magnet servo motor is connected. The oscilloscope observes the virtual U between the U-phase power line and the center point of the star equivalent resistor. The potential waveform is aligned with the phase of the sensor's U-phase signal rising edge /Z signal, or the Sin signal zero-crossing point, or the Sin envelope signal zero-crossing point. In this way, the signal edge or zero-crossing point of the sensor can be aligned to the electrical angle. Phase 0 point;

2. Rotor orientation method

Suitable for incremental encoders with commutation signals, sine and cosine codes, waveform alignment of resolvers, or absolute encoders and sine and cosine codes, resolvers, etc. to provide single-turn absolute position value information alignment.

1) Connect V phase to the positive pole of low voltage DC source, U phase to the negative terminal of DC source, and directional motor shaft

After that, while adjusting the relative positional relationship between the sensor and the motor, the sensor signal is observed by the oscilloscope until the rising edge of the U-phase signal or the Z signal, or the Sin signal zero-crossing point, or the Sin envelope signal zero-crossing point is accurately reproduced. The signal edge or zero crossing of the sensor is aligned to a phase angle of -30 degrees;

It is also possible to adjust the relative positional relationship between the sensor and the motor while trying to observe the numerical information of the absolute position of the single turn until the data zero is accurately reproduced. In this way, the absolute position of the single circle of the sensor can be aligned to -30 degrees. Angle phase

If the value of the single-turn absolute position corresponding to the electrical angle of -30 degrees is estimated in advance, the relative positional relationship between the sensor and the motor can be adjusted until the value is accurately reproduced, and the single-turn absolute position zero can be directly aligned to the electrical angle phase. 0 point (this method may be better than the latter method summarized in the next side 2) is more accurate);

Of course, it is also possible to completely adjust the relative positional relationship between the sensor and the motor, and simply install the encoder randomly, and use the read single-turn absolute position information as the initial installation offset value, and realize the single-turn absolute position through subsequent operations. The logical alignment of the information and electrical angle phase zeros, the method requires the lowest manual operation.

2) Connect the U phase to the negative pole of the low voltage DC source, connect the V phase and W phase in parallel, and connect to the positive pole of the DC source.

After that, while adjusting the relative positional relationship between the sensor and the motor, the sensor signal is observed by the oscilloscope until the rising edge of the U-phase signal or the Z signal, or the Sin signal zero-crossing point, or the Sin envelope signal zero-crossing point is accurately reproduced. It is also possible to adjust the relative positional relationship between the sensor and the motor while trying to observe the numerical information of the absolute position of the single turn until the data zero is accurately reproduced.
